The killing of Reeva Steenkamp and the murder trial of Oscar Pistorius has held the attention of the public since the fateful Valentine’s eve nearly two years ago.
Wiener says that people are very emotionally invested in this story, and have very strong opinions. The court of public opinion, she says, convicted Oscar before looking at the evidence or understanding the legal process. With this book, Bateman and Wiener aimed to give people a solid foundation on which to build informed opinions.
